Three Key Points:

Find your game, give it your all, and bring your gifts and talents to it. Know yourself and understand the value you bring to the world.

When you’re purpose driven, you can work all the time and not get burned out. It feels as if you’re being paid to play, and it gives you more energy as opposed to draining you.

If you find your system you use doing your work and look back over your lifespan then you’ll see you’ve been using that process in some way or another all through your life. That’s when you know you’ve hit your groove and you’re right on target with what you’re bringing to the world.

4:35 — As a sports psychologist turned business coach, Loren found that high achieving athletes are very similar to growth minded entrepreneurs on a success path.

7:03 — What Loren learned from sports psychology was the importance of going beyond the thing that you do, focus, and harness in the power of your mind to propel your performance forward.

9:40 — Setting the incorrect expectations for her employees, Loren learned that she had to eventually let go of control of her business so it and herself could grow. By expecting her employees to have a business owner mindset, and always wanting to control everything in her business she realized that she was the bottleneck that was stunting growth.

14:27 — Even in college, Loren was on the path of psychology and business. She experienced a wakeup call during her first business. This wakeup call led her toward finding her true calling, and as she says, “it found me, I didn’t find it.”

15:30 — Another wakeup call that Loren had was during her time working in sports psychology and the business coaching. She was certain she would be doing sports psychology for the rest of her life, but this wakeup call made her realize that she had to choose between sports psychology or business coaching.

18:53 — When business owners play small, it’s not serving them or anyone else. A lot of entrepreneurs know what they want, yet they just don’t know how to get there. Loren shares that it usually comes from conflicting values or beliefs and reveals how to solve them.

24:21 — Loren shares how she learned invaluable business skills like sales, pricing products, etc. and how she’s using her gifts and talents in those areas to help other businesspeople learn so they don’t have to go into business blind.

30:57 — You can either work for money or have money work for you. This was the best advice that Loren has ever received, and she shares a story about how it blessed her without the negative beliefs around money that other people have.

32:20 — Sharing one last piece of parting guidance and advice, Loren believes that you already know what you want and might already have a strong feeling inside you of what you want to do. You might be doubting yourself or overthinking it. If it’s coming from inside of you and feel that you absolutely ought to be doing it, then give yourself permission to follow through with that higher purpose.
